The president of the Boloshak Scholarship Programme, along over 25 agents representing 12 agencies, met with ALTO members in Kazakhstan in May, during ALTO’s first-ever roadshow.
“ALTO hosted our Kazakhstan roadshow in order to provide its members with additional trading opportunities in new source markets,” stated ALTO Chair Mauro Biondi.
“As the first roadshow, it was a learning experience for ALTO, and showed us how to perfect the roadshow model for future ALTO events. The feedback from the attendees was that it was a great mix of trading, networking, and community—which is absolutely what ALTO is about.”
The ALTO Kazakhstan Roadshow took place in Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan, on 3 - 5 May, alongside the a2 student fair. ALTO members were introduced to the country's leading agents in both cities, as well as as the president of the country's Boloshak Scholarship Programme, President Bektursyn Kaldayev.
ALTO is currently in discussions on its next roadshow destinations, and will keep members informed about future opportunities.
Stay tuned for the full article on the Kazakhstan Roadshow, as well as the Kazakhstan market profile, in ALTO Connect’s first issue in August 2009.
